This full-day journey brings together ancient history, unusual geological landscapes and wildlife in one of the most diverse routes around Baku. The program combines the Gobustan and Shirvan National Park Tour experience with visits to mud volcanoes, ancient rock carvings and the open semi-desert landscapes of Shirvan National Park. Unlike many Azerbaijan tours that focus on one type of attraction, this route connects archaeological sites with natural landscapes and wildlife observation. The first part of the journey explores the history and geology of Gobustan, while the second takes you into a protected natural area known for its gazelles and birdlife. As the landscape changes from rocky hills to wide semi-desert plains, the character of the journey changes as well. Along the way, the guide provides information about the region's history, geology, wildlife and protected areas. The result is a varied day trip that combines some of Azerbaijan's most distinctive natural and cultural experiences.
